# Account Research

> Deep dives on target accounts, competitive intel, and meeting prep

Canvas can research companies in depth: recent news, funding, product launches, tech stack, competitive landscape, and key people. Use it for meeting prep, account planning, or competitive intel.

## How it works

Ask Canvas to research any company:

> Research Stripe: recent funding, product launches, and who the key decision makers are in sales.

Canvas will search the web, synthesize findings, and return a structured brief. For deeper research, it uses multi-step AI research that checks multiple sources.

## Example prompts

> Write a one-page brief on Ramp before my meeting tomorrow. Include recent news, company size, and key people.

> What tech stack does Figma use? Do they use Kubernetes?

> Research these 10 target accounts. For each one, summarize what they do, their funding stage, and potential pain points.

> Compare these three competitors: what do they each do differently?
